This was the first of two huge weekends of play plus we hosted 15's at Carroll. Results after the break.
17's at Lincoln -
The 17's made the long drive to Cambridge City, Indiana and came home a winner with a 2-1 record. They beat Momentum 2-0 and Cass County's 2nd team 2-0 before losing to Cass County's 1st team 0-2.
16's at Pioneer -
The 16's drove north to Royal Center for a NCIPL play-date. 16's McMains went 2-1 on the day in competition. Thanks to Megan Herr for moving about on quick notice and setting for that team. Meanwhile, a banged up 16's Birnell were competitive but struggled to overcome too many unforced errors and went 0-3 for the afternoon.
15's at Carroll and Crum/Worl at Pioneer -
15's Crum/Worl went a frustrating 4-2 on the weekend. Both defeats came at the hands of Cass County's 15-1's team with great 1st sets and then issues in serve receive leading to lop-sided loses in the 2nd sets. Still, there is reason to celebrate with two wins over high school teams. 15's Eurit/McClain went 0-3 as they still struggle to serve on a consistent bases and even suffer from confusion in being in base, free ball, or defense.
13's at Madison Grant -
Our 11's team under Coach Jones continues to roll with another 3-0 day, which is the best record for the weekend. Meanwhile, 13's Gleason/Wall went 2-1 on Saturday. Their only defeat came to a state volleyball power, Delta, out of Delaware County. Getting into the spring, Coach Mary Anne is not available on Saturday's as she is leading trail ride at camp. Madison Miller led their team to Fairmount solo and while not winning a match, remained competitive never suffering a blow out loss. Mad Woman gets a "Tip of the Cap" for coaching without Mary Anne and being R1.
