16's at Cambridge City Lincoln - Coach McMain's team had another good day of play going 2-1 with the loss in the championship match. They beat Daleville 25-18, 25-20 and beat my niece's team in an epic 26-24, 24-26, 15-11 match. They then crossed over to play Cass Co. in the championship and lost 8-25 (they were tied at 8-8 when Cass went on a 17 point run - OUCH!), 18-25.
18's at Capitol Sports Center (Indy) - Another good day that finished just short of great. The 18's went 3-1 for the day pushing them to 13-3 for the season. However, that 13-3 feels empty as they keep losing close matches to good teams and playing matches they should win easily close or in three. At this point in the season, we know the problem is our hitting. In the 3 set loss to HAVOC (Columbus, Indiana area) M. Herr hits zero and M. Campbell hits a negative. In their first match of the day, they beat Moto (Fisher, IN) in three, but our other left side hits negative and M2 and our Opposite both hit zero.
