It was a Tale of Two Cities kind of day down at the Academy as the 18's were once again champion. The best of times? They served pretty well and really hit the ball well. Even R. Gleason shined with 9 kills, hitting .318 on 22 sets. The worst of times? Other than M. Pontigo (1.78), serve receive was incredibly shaky. Still, they went 3-1 for the day as they lost to Twisters 19-25, 25-16, 12-15 and won the next three matches: Hydras 25-22, 25-16, Force 25-15, 25-21 and beating the Twisters in the Championship Match 25-23, 25-16. It was a pretty impressive day when you consider they played without G. Ayres who was out with a bum ankle.
