CIViC New Con't:CIViC Refund Policy & Try Out Fees
We believe one of the great scams of club volleyball is that you have to pay to step through the door and decide if such and such a club is a good fit for you or your daughter. Stupid crazy. CIViC does not have a tryout fee, and we will fully refund every cent if you or we decide that CIViC is not a good fit. Money - Parents and players, please do not hand coaches cash (especially D. Crum) that is not in an envelope with a name on it. Fees pay for what? What is covered in the fees? Registration cost with AAU, JVA, our local power league, the NCIPL, and tournament registration. Most of the AAU & JVA cost are going toward liability insurance. A uniform is included for the younger girls and two uniform tops for the high school girls. Spandex is also provided. The big share of the fees is allocated to paying our coaches. It is not enough, but we have to pay enough that they are not losing money! We also have to pay for the gym rental. Our Philosophy As educators, we are committed to providing a quality learning experience at an affordable price. We will not form a team without two quality coaches. We limit the size of our teams to guarantee a 1:5 coach to player ratio. Generally our teams have no more than ten players in an effort to ensure a player's role. Having said that, attendance at practice is very important. Our high school teams practice on Sundays. While we have reservations with this day, it works best in order to gain access to the gyms and allows the girls to remain active in their home community activities. Lastly, we will ability group our teams. It is to the benefit of every player that practices and schedules allow them to compete at an appropriate level. CIVIC HISTORY Central Indiana Volleyball Club, CIViC, was created 28 years ago. During that time, CIViC has helped players from Allen, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fulton, Grant, Howard, Huntington, Kosciusko, Madison, Miami, Montgomery, Newton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Wabash, White, and Whitley counties. The intent of CIViC has always been to serve as a developmental tool for area volleyball players. When CIViC was first created, it was specifically to assist middle school, JV, and varsity players who simply wanted to get better. Within a year we formed an elite team to assist players who wanted the opportunity to play college volleyball. Since the creation of CIViC, we have helped more than 40 players go on to play college volleyball. A new club season is set to start with CIViC continuing in Flora. |
